Teacher tired of walking ‘on eggshells’ exits profession, runs for governor”

'Dayna Marie Foster, a 32-year-old former Fort Lauderdale High School math teacher, left the classroom in June after growing frustrated with Florida's restrictions on what teachers can say in and out of school. She's now running as a Democrat in Florida's Aug. 18 gubernatorial primary on a progressive platform that includes raising teacher pay, boosting public education funding, and fighting censorship in schools.
